Whether you are looking for a program for your child, yourself, your parent, or your family — the City of Waterloo has recreation programs suitable for every body!
Your child will love to participate in karate, ZUMBA, our March Break day camp, leadership courses, swim lessons and much more, all with top-notch, qualified instructors. For yourself, check out our great fitness classes like high-intensity interval training, ZUMBA, or try exotic chair dancing. Take to the water for some adult swim lessons or some water fit classes. Have you ever tried aqua-cycle? It’s a great workout incorporating spin bikes in the water! Alternatively, join a team and have a ton of fun in one of the community adult recreation leagues (CARL) — try out beach volleyball, ultimate frisbee, or slo-pitch.
The city offers great recreational and social programs for adults 55+. Keep moving with activities like pickleball, ZUMBA – Gold, tai chi, dance, yoga, and ballroom dancing. Keep social with activities like euchre, snooker and crafts, or learn about different parts of the world with the Friday Flicks Travel Show.
The entire family can get into the action with drop in programs like basketball, badminton and shinny hockey.
