Without the advantage of wheels or gravity, speed skating is the fastest sport that relies solely on human propulsion. If you love speed, or are looking for an excellent physical fitness activity, speed skating is a great activity for you — individually or your whole family!
The KW Sertoma Speed Skating Club is busy gearing up for our next introductory Learn to Speed Skate (LTSS) session. This popular program is an excellent introduction to the sport we are so passionate about, and runs for four consecutive Saturdays in September at RIM Park. Each session is one-hour long and includes on-ice instruction with a certified coach. If you chose to join the club upon completion, the LTSS registration fee is applied to club membership. Speed skates are also available for rental, if required.
All skating levels of ability are welcome! For more information on registration, dates and times, visit the Learn to Speed Skate page under the Programs tab at www.kwspeedskating.com, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Full information and registration forms will be posted on our website by the end of July. Come and check us out — we’d love to have you skate with us!
